Mumbai : Kolkata Knight Riders will play their next IPL match wearing black bands on their arm, in protest against the detention of their superstar owner Shahrukh Khan for two hours at a New York airport. “This kind of news coming in between the IPL matches, upsets our training schedule and motivation levels as the boys instead of focussing on the next game, start worrying if their next pay cheque will come on time,” said a KKR spokesperson.
A theory doing the rounds was that it is no longer “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namoomkin hai”.
“The number of times he has been detained and questioned, SRK should stop mouthing the lines at stage shows. Moreover, of the gyaraa mulko ki police who are searching for Don, atleast the Americans seem to have tasted success,” said a SRK fan.
However, the Ra.One Sufferers’ Association (ROSA) has congratulated the American immigration authorities for giving Shahrukh Khan a dose of his own medicine. Speaking to reporters, Kamini Mehta, who had seen `Ra.One’ first day first show said, “All of us were detained by SRK in that movie. Not for two, but three hours. And trust me, no detention in the world can be worse than that.”
Reacting to SRK’s detention, Salman Khan pointed out he has never been detained at any US airport. “I guess it has got something to do with being human,” he said. However, he added, “Mere ko ta seedha India me arrest hi karte hai.”
Tenali Rama has learnt that last week, another Khan from India, self-proclaimed Bhojpuri superstar Kamaal R Khan too was in the US, where he was not stopped by the immigration authorities. KRK told the immigration desk that he is like another SRK in India but the officers reportedly burst out laughing.
“I take it as an insult that I was not detained. Am I not a Khan? No kiss to Barack Obama,” KRK tweeted.
However, KRK did not bargain for what awaited him at Kochi International airport. Upon arrival, he was accosted by six burly Malayalee immigration officials who detained him for six hours.
When Tenali Rama asked the chief immigration officer the reason for detaining the filmstar, he replied, “What filmstar? We in Kerala know only Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi. This man simbly sends kisses to our Asin mol everyday. I follow him so I know. You know, on Twitter. We confronted him with evidence. 17654 online kisses so far. We were actually waiting for him to come to Kochi. Today we got a wonderful opportunity so we simbly detained him.”
Upon his release, KRK tweeted : “I will make a film – My name is Asli Khan. And no kiss to Asin.”
