Hyderabad / Chennai : An ageing Telugu superstar has decided to stun the industry by doing the mother of all casting coups in Tollywood. Completely bowled over by Angelina Jolie’s look and body language at the Oscars on Monday, he has decided to approach the celebrated actor to act in his next film.
“Thammudu, Angelina Jolie garu will be presented beautifully. Just imagine, Angelina garu wearing a lehenga-ohni (half saree) and running around trees in a duet with me. We could throw apples, grapes, oranges and flowers at her navel. Our thammudus will love it. It is a super-duper hit idea,” he told Tenali Rama.
“Of course, we will make her wear modern dresses, you see, what you call western wear in a dream sequence,” he added with a glint in his eyes.
When asked if Angelina Jolie has been approached for the role, the actor revealed, “Brad Pitt garu is being contacted. Anil Kapoor garu knows all those American people, you see. We can offer Pitt garu a role as well. As my elder brother, whose death I avenge in the film.”
But this Tollywood hero could face competition from across the border. Because equally smitten is a Tamil superstar, who is known for doing the impossible on screen, including cutting a bullet into two, and killing two persons at the same time.
“Thambi, don’t go by the colour of my skin,” he told Tenali Rama. “We can do colour correction, you know that. Make me more fair, make Jolie a little dusky. We have the script ready. It will be a political thriller. Jolie plays my lover, who motivates me to beat up all bad people of Tamilnadu.”
The hero who has acted in over one hundred films, is already active in Tamilnadu politics and says this will give him an international image.
“Thambi, next year, my aim is to walk the red carpet in my white shirt and veshti. Give pride to Tamil people. After Rahman thambi, it will be me. Cheers to that,” he said.
