Bangalore : Vijay Mallya has lashed out at Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) suppliers for not supplying fuel to Kingfisher flights on Thursday evening, leading to huge delays on all sectors. Mallya has warned of dire consequences should it happen again.
Kingfisher Airlines officials have told Tenali Rama that Mallya is seriously considering stopping the sale of beer and other liquor brands in the country, if ATF is denied to his aircraft. “Can India afford to be in low spirits? For how long?” asked an agitated spokesperson for the UB group.
Another part of the plan is to stop the sale of Kingfisher bikini calenders. “We know how the Indian male looks forward to the calender. We are sure they will all join us to protest against the trouble Kingfisher airlines is being put to.”
The airline will also do away with the smart short red skirts the airhostesses on Kingfisher airlines wear. “The skirts will be replaced with something very drab that will not make the girls look attractive at all. Male passengers, we are sure, will protest.”
Dad Mallya will also stop son Siddhartha and his beau Deepika Padukone from making an appearance at IPL matches, where usually their hugs and kisses attract more attention than the match itself. “`Don’t we know why people sit till late in the evening to watch RCB matches. If you think it is to watch Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle’s batting, you are mistaken. In fact, two cameras are permanently focused on Sid and Dips to capture every move.”
Former civil aviation minister Praful Patel has meanwhile said he will persuade Air India to give its ATF to Kingfisher. “After all, Air India is the Maharaja. It is its duty and responsibility to see that other airlines fly and flourish even if Air India is grounded in the bargain,” he said.
