Terrorists have no professional ethics, say sleuths

New Delhi : With Indian Mujahideen also claiming responsibility for the blast at Delhi High court, a day after HuJi had sent an email to media houses, stating it had masterminded and carried out the terror attack, sleuths at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are wondering what to make of this attempt at oneupmanship.

“It is a complete lack of professional ethics,” said a senior officer on condition of anonymity. “You do not take credit for work done by others, do you. But here, it is clear, one of them is not speaking the truth.”

Intelligence Bureau sources have told told Tenali Rama that after the second email sent by one “chhotu”, handlers in the ISI met at a secret location on the outskirts of Rawalpindi to sort out this inter-jehadi gang rivalry. The Home ministry in New Delhi is of the view that post-Osama bin Laden’s death, too many freelancers have entered the field of terrorism and even the seasoned professionals are sometimes working  on the sly for rival organizations, to make extra money. At the meeting, ISI is said to have to frowned upon such moonlighting and has suggested Identity cards to be issued to all terrorists. All terrorists working in ISI-approved organizations will be allotted a PAN card too.

At the meeting, IB and RAW sources say, five terror outfits, including the LeT, also signed on a non-poaching agreement that will ensure terrorists do not jump from one organization to another, lured by better pay packets, better working conditions and access to better quality weapons and explosives. Another crucial decision that was taken was that in the event of any such recruitment, such a terrorist can take part in a terror operation only after six months.

A charter of demands that includes getting two weekly offs, medical insurance for family members and LTC once in two years is pending with the ISI since 26/11.
